Philadelphia Love Story is a tale of a failing relationship, in a city of brotherly love, and all the emotions that come with it.
You meet a girl. You get a girl. You lose a girl. You chase a girl. You hate a girl. You accept it. You learn. You move on.
This song is from my upcoming mixtape project, “A Philadelphia Love Story”. The whole concept was inspired by every girl I’ve ever exchanged hormones with; every failed attempt at romance; every one night stand; every time I thought I had it, but then messed it all up; every time I had it, but was too dumb to realize it. This project was inspired by the triumphs of love and the heartbreak of failure. To the girls who were right, but came into my life at the wrong time; to all the girls who were wrong, but I thought was the one. To all the ex’s and the could’ve beens, to the best and the should’ve beens. To the ones who held me down when I was at my worst and to the ones who shared the highs when I was at my best. To the ones who kept me up at night and to the ones I should’ve slept on… this is all for you. These are all the thoughts, emotions, and excuses that come with the process of feeling for another. No one’s perfect; no one will be, but somewhere, someone, will come as close as one can get… and unfortunately we sometimes neglect that person and hurt them the hardest.
This is my story; a Philadelphia Love Story. The story is far from finished, but I feel a certain way and this project is how I learned to get it all off my chest. We all make mistakes, we all have regret; and, as they say, “Everything in hindsight is 20/20″; I just wish I would’ve known.
This project marks the conclusion of a chapter in my life and presents a fresh page for me to begin writing the next step and applying the lessons I’ve learned in this long journey called, “Life”.

Pasha Natey Chaney was born September 27th in Flint, MI. Since a child Pasha was destined to do music. At the age of seven years old she learned to play the piano and discovered her ability to compose songs and write lyrics. By the time Pasha entered her high school she quickly took an interest in playing the flute and joined her high school band and choir. But this wouldn’t be the conclusion of Pasha’s desire for music. By the time she turned seventeen she joined a local rap group in Flint called “The Coalition” which consisted of five guys, including herself. Pasha learned to hone her lyrical skills and quickly became known for being a part of an all guy rap group. “The Coalition’s” most notarized song was “The Midwest” which was a local hit on 92.7 FM WDZZ. “The “Coalition” split up and Pasha moved to Atlanta to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from Clark Atlanta University. Her desire to become a solo artist wasn’t quite actualized and she faced many setbacks and challenges during her three years in Atlanta.
Although obstacles arose, Pasha was still determined to pursue her dream of becoming a strong female voice in the rap game. Pasha’s most notable songs to date are “Man Like You” which was featured on the soundtrack of “8 Day Theory” (an independent film) and “Back In The Game”. She moved back to Flint with the determination of nothing being able to stop her and formed Bed Roc Records with her brother JRilla. Pasha co- executive produced JRilla’s first commercial album “Past Due Notice: Life, Love & Music”. In 2009, Pasha formed “The Lounge Report” (www.theloungereport.info) a celebrity interview, news and music website.
In the Spring of 2011, Pasha was featured as an opening act for Trina during her “Unfinished Tour” dates and became the first female rapper to win the 810 Local Flow Contest with her highly notarized single “In My Purse”. Pasha’s latest project we’re aware of was her EP album “Long Overdue” which was released in 2012.
